You can be assured – we have a commitment to excellence when it comes to the level of care we provide

Family Medicine

Family physicians are dedicated to treating the whole person. Family medicine's cornerstone is an ongoing, personal patient-physician relationship focusing on integrated care. Unlike other specialties that are limited to a particular organ or disease, family medicine integrates care for patients of both genders and every age, and advocates for the patient in a complex health care system.

Internal Medicine

Internal medicine physicians are specialists who apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from health to complex illness.

Women's Health

There are many health issues that only affect women. There is much we can do to protect our health. Routine visits with a health care provider can help prevent illness and can find problems that may need treatment. Pelvic exams, Pap tests, and screenings for breast cancer are all vital health care needs for women. And for women with abnormal Pap test results, tests and treatments used to prevent cervical cancer colposcopy, cryotherapy, and LEEP — can save lives.

Pediatrics Medicine

Pediatrics services in our office:

  • preventive health maintenance for healthy children.
  • medical care for children who are acutely or chronically ill.

The services' focus on babies, children, adolescents, and young adults from birth to age 21 years to:

  • reduce infant and child mortality
  • control infectious disease
  • foster healthy lifestyles
  • ease the difficulties of children and adolescents with chronic conditions

Geriatrics

Our geriatritian services dealing with health problems that frequently affect older adults, such as pain, falls, memory loss, incontinence (involuntary loss of urine), and medication side effects. Another important aspect of geriatric medicine is evaluating an elderly patient's ability to care for him- or herself (e.g., prepare and eat meals, bathe, dress).
Our doctors see patients in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, clinics, and physician offices, and often provide or manage in-home care.

Psychiatry Services

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders. These include various affective, behavioural, cognitive andperceptual abnormalities.

Psychiatric assessment typically starts with a mental status examination and the compilation of a case history. Psychological tests and physical examinations may be conducted, including on occasion the use of neuroimaging or other neurophysiological techniques.

Immigration Medical Exam

In order to apply for a U.S. green card (lawful permanent residence), you must undergo a medical examination. The immigration medical exam must be conducted by a physician designated by USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services).

Oakton Health Center has authorized physicians who will perform this exam, the required blood draw and administer the necessary vaccinations.
